How long does this process take?
After the application has been submitted the Immigration Office has 4 months to make a decision on your application. It is important that all documents are submitted correctly the first time to avoid unnecessary delays in the process.
If I've already applied for my permit, do I still need an onward ticket?
In most cases, yes, you still need an onward ticket when entering Curaçao, even if you have already applied for a residence permit.
Immigration requirements at the border are separate from your permit application process. Unless you already hold an approved residence permit or other valid long-stay status, border officials may still require proof that you intend to leave the country within the allowed short-stay period.
